Located between student housing, this community center takes advantage of a prime site with sweeping views of the mountains and campus below. The design blends indoor and outdoor spaces, creating flexible areas for student use that highlight the landscape while fostering community connection.
This landscape concept project replaces an out-of-code staircase on the UMass Amherst campus with a safe, accessible design that meets proper slope and riser-to-run standards. The new staircase incorporates seating an amphitheater and rest areas, turning an underused site into a welcoming place to pause in nature. By following the campus-wide design language, it creates a cohesive addition in the landscape’s role in daily campus life.

This project reimagines an underutilized site in Amherst to expand the Early Child Care Center serving both students and faculty. The mission was to design a playscape tailored to early childhood, creating a safe, imaginative environment that encourages play, exploration, and growth. By integrating natural elements and thoughtful spatial design, the playscape strengthens community support while enriching the campus landscape.
An early exploration in my design career, this project used 3D modeling software to translate digital concepts into clear diagrammatic layouts. The goal was to bridge the gap between computer-based design and real-world understanding, making complex processes more accessible and visually communicable.
