Designed as a studio project and submitted to a competition held by the Metal Building Manufacturers Association, this portal‑frame building draws inspiration from the tobacco barns of western Massachusetts. It includes indoor and covered soccer fields, a rock wall, pickleball courts, and community space, emphasizing efficient metal‑frame construction and wide‑span structural design. The proposal uses modern construction methods while echoing the region’s traditional barn forms, creating flexible social spaces that support a growing student population and fit naturally within the local architectural context of western Massachusetts.
